Program(s) affected: T1 Document created: February 15, 2005

Version(s): 8.10 Problem status: Fixed

Why is the amount for a single-parent family not included in the calculation of the minimum child support amount on lines 16 and 37 of the 2005 child support payment estimates form?

Indeed, DT Max does not include this amount for a single-parent family although it does include it for a two-parent family.

This problem will result in an erroneous amount for a two-parent family only if the amount from line 17 is higher than the amount from line 13, and/or the amount from line 37 is higher than the amount from line 33.

Similarly, this problem will result in an erroneous amount for a single-parent family only if the amount from line 17 should normally be higher than the amount from line 13, and/or the amount from line 37 should normally be higher than the amount from line 33.
